Estimated Costs of Attendance
The estimated cost of attendance (COA) for the academic year (fall and spring semesters) will vary according to a student’s enrollment status and the student's living arrangements (on-campus, with parents, or off-campus). The estimated COA, excluding tuition and fees, for resident students living off-campus during the 2024-2025 academic year is $30,236. This amount has been budgeted for books/supplies, room, board, travel expenses, and miscellaneous personal expenses.
Refund Policy
If a student withdraws from the law program, a tuition refund for the semester in which the student withdraws will be issued according to the following schedule:
Withdrawal prior to or during the first week of classes: | 100% tuition refund |
Withdrawal after the first week of classes and before the seventh week of classes: | 50% refund |
Withdrawal after the seventh week of classes: | None |
The law school follows the university's refund schedule.
Federal financial aid recipients are subject to a “Return to Title IV” and, as such, may owe UNLV for unpaid tuition and fees. Contact UNLV Financial Aid and Scholarships for details.
Acceptance Deposit (seat deposit)
Applicants offered admission to the law school are required to submit a $1,000 non-refundable deposit which is credited toward tuition upon enrollment at Boyd Law.
Tuition Increases
Tuition rates are approved by the Board of Regents biannually for the two years of the following biennial cycle. Future registration fees and non-resident tuition for will be based on the Higher Education Price Index (HEPI), an index that tracks the inflation of college costs.
Fee Increases
Student fee increases are submitted to the Board of Regents for approval in December each year. Refer to UNLV Cashiering and Student Accounts for the full list of current student fees. Should there be any discrepancy between the information provided on this website and the Board approved fees, the information published in the NSHE Procedure and Guidelines Manual prevails.
