Half-day event to address new policies and existing laws that affect Nevada businesses
Local businesses are invited to a free, half-day event – coordinated by the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law and the Association of Corporate Counsel Nevada – that will address new policies and existing laws that affect their operations, practices and structure.
Legal Issues for Nevada Businesses will benefit those thinking about starting their own business as well as seasoned entrepreneurs. The event will feature complimentary breakfast; networking opportunities; a keynote presentation titled “Your Guide to Nevada’s New Business Licensing and Tax Laws” and delivered by local attorney Gina Bongiovi; and roundtable discussions led by local attorneys. Roundtable topics will include: employment law (hiring and firing), trademark and copyright law, entity formation, local licensing, and independent contractor vs. employee classification.
