Drianna Dimatulac
I was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, by immigrant parents who instilled in me the values of education, hard work, and service—principles that have guided me throughout my academic and professional journey. I earned my degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where learning about the injustices in our legal system inspired me to pursue a legal career to advocate for those in need. As a Public Interest Fellow, I have had several meaningful opportunities in law school to serve disadvantaged communities. At the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, I represented abused and neglected children through the Children’s Attorneys Project and advocated for the due process rights of students with special education needs through the Education Advocacy Program. This semester, I will serve in UNLV’s Immigration Clinic, defending adults and children against deportation. Public interest work will always be a part of my path, whether through direct service or pro bono efforts. I am committed to using my legal training to help ensure access to justice for all.
