The American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society intend to co-host an event discussing the legality of NSA surveillance, specifically the programs leaked by Edward Snowden. The discussion will center on the how laws have developed to allow such programs to exist, what protections (if any) are currently in place to protect against such programs, and recommendations for future laws either limiting or further defining acceptable limits of such programs. We have already confirmed Professor Blakesley and as a panelist for the event and we intend to secure two additional panelists. We intend to serve dinner.
