The Boyd School of Law’s program of legal education is on the cutting edge of innovation. In the decade since its establishment, Boyd has achieved accreditation from the American Bar Association and membership in the Association of American Law Schools in record time, and earned the recognition of its peers and others, as reflected in various assessments and ratings of its programs.

Our offerings in clinical legal education, the Lawyering Process program, and externship and simulation opportunities are fully integrated into the traditional curriculum. Students at Boyd have extensive opportunities to participate in community service programs and to work with faculty and community leaders focused on improving society and addressing its most vexing problems. Our Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution offers opportunities for students to explore alternative dispute resolution techniques. Through these opportunities we emphasize the great responsibility lawyers have, as professionals, as privileged members of the community, and as officers of the court, to work for the betterment of their communities.
