In the wake of the success of the SCOTUS volume, the three editors of that volume – Linda, Bridget and Kathy – decided to expand the project to include courts other than SCOTUS and more diverse areas of law. The Feminist Judgments Series focuses on discrete subject matter disciplines within law. It allowed authors to apply feminist reasoning to all different areas of law – including those rarely covered by SCOTUS. Like the SCOTUS project, all the series projects rewrite cases using the record and precedent in place at the time of the original – but using feminist perspectives.
