Boyd School of Law Launches New AmeriCorps Program for Unaccompanied Children
The Boyd School of Law’s Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic has launched a new program to provide legal representation to unaccompanied children who have fled to the United States from Central America. Boyd is one of just seven organizations nationally to receive a Justice AmeriCorps grant to launch to program, which will represent unaccompanied children facing deportation proceedings in Las Vegas Immigration Court.
Two Boyd graduates, Katelyn Leese and Alissa Cooley, are launching the program.
