UNLV Immigration Clinic Submits Comment Opposing Proposed Public Charge Rule

The UNLV Immigration Clinic submitted a public comment opposing proposed changes to the "public charge" rule, which if enacted would hurt many Nevada families. DHS has provided no compelling justification for why the proposed changes are needed.These changes would put the Department of Homeland Security in the improper and unlawful position to regulate the public welfare system—a role DHS is not authorized to play.
