CLE: Best Practices for Retaining Dedicated Attorneys

*This program has been approved for 2.0 CLE credits.

Law firms can strengthen their client relationships and their bottom lines through retention of their best lawyers, yet those lawyers - often women and lawyers of racial or ethnic minorities - frequently leave despite firms' best efforts. Learn about proven strategies for retention and hear the business case for keeping the “keepers” by offering balanced hours programs and flexible work. Attorneys will also benefit from a discussion of how to effectively manage obligations to clients and achieve professional success while working a reduced hours schedule.

Key takeaways will be:

• Why part-time and other flexible work programs at law firms work for law firms and their corporate clients
• What model programs work and do not penalize participants
• How to identify the four most common patterns of bias encountered by lawyers
