Mark A. Drumbl, Class of 1975 Alumni Professor of Law and Director, Transnational Law Institute, Washington and Lee University School of Law, spoke on “Mass Atrocity and Traditional Dispute Resolution: The Rwandan and Ugandan Experiences.” Drumbl recently published a book entitled “Atrocities, Punishment and International Law,” which takes issue with the idea that traditional litigation techniquesare the best means to deal with perpetrators of massatrocities.
