This Community Law Day, Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and its community partners invite you to a free workshop touching on the themes of "Supporting Independence in Young Adults with Disabilities" and "Avoiding Court Interventions as You Age." Experienced attorneys will explain options to avoid guardianship and court control of your life as a young adult with disabilities or autism or as a senior.
Following the presentation, you'll have the opportunity to sit down with an attorney for a consultation to discuss any of the following:
- Creating a power of attorney
- Adult guardianship
- Alternatives to guardianship
- Options for young adults with disabilities
- Debt and other related issues
- Housing and other related issues
In addition to this workshop, Legal Aid Center and the William S. Boyd School of Law offer a free, weekly guardianship class that you can attend online or in-person. Click here to learn more or register.
