The psychology of lawyers themselves is highly relevant to the work attorneys do on behalf of their clients. While some may assume that lawyers are hyper-rational beings, research reveals that lawyers are human after all. This talk will focus on the psychology of perception, communication, persuasion, emotion, judgment, decision-making, justice and ethics. It will show how knowledge of lawyers' psychology in each of these areas can help lawyers more effectively and ethically interview, counsel, negotiate, mediate, and litigate on behalf of their clients.
