Webinar-Protecting Seniors in an Age of Scams
Webinar-Protecting Seniors in an Age of Scams
July 22, 2020
9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
This program will explore various common types of frauds and scams (e.g., financial, technology-based, healthcare, COVID-19-related) and how and why older adults are often targeted. For example, older adults are prime targets for financial exploitation both by persons they know and trust as well as by strangers. This exploitation can, among other things, result in a significant loss of financial and personal independence which can further result in the ability to live independently, a decline in health, and/or broken trust. Get armed with how common frauds and scams operate so you can take preventive measures, reduce your exposure, and save yourself and your loved ones from financial ruin and heartache.
