Faculty Notable -- 2023-06-16 -- David Orentlicher

In the recent legislative session, David Orentlicher's proposal to increase access to treatment for persons struggling with substance use was enacted. Under Assembly Bill 156, specially trained pharmacists will be able to diagnose drug addiction and prescribe the medications that are effective at treating the problem. This will be especially valuable for drug users who don't have good access to health care.
