Scott Knight
Professor Knight specializes in business, commercial, real estate, and construction law. He has practiced locally in Las Vegas since 2004 and has handled matters from the pre-litigation stage up through trial and appeal before the Nevada Supreme Court. He has also successfully represented developers and contractors, as well as real estate agents/brokers and business owners in a wide variety of circumstances ranging from mergers and acquisitions to multi-million dollar complex litigation.
In 2001, Professor Knight received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brigham Young University, after which he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2004 from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. While in law school, Professor Knight distinguished himself by serving as the Articles Editor of the Nevada Law Journal, as well as working for Professor Bruce Markell, who later became The Honorable Bruce Markell, Judge, United States Bankruptcy Court, as a research assistant.
In addition to serving his clients, Professor Knight enjoys giving back to the community by coaching youth sports and supporting the Boy Scouts of America. When he is not with his family, he spends his spare time cycling and playing board games.
Professor Knight is licensed to practice in all federal and state courts in Nevada, and is fluent in Spanish.
