Maxim Gakh
Max Gakh, JD, MPH is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Community Health Sciences. His research focuses on the intersection of public health, law, and policy. He has conducted research on legal authority to address public health issues, public health legal preparedness, and legal mechanisms that incorporate health analysis into non-health sectors. Most recently, he was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Visiting Attorney with the Partnership for Public Health Law in Washington, DC. He has also worked as a non-partisan legislative attorney, assisting state legislators with legal research, analysis, and drafting. Currently, he is collaborating with community partners on a grant-funded project that seeks to study the possible health effects of full-day kindergarten.
