Bio:

Roy Smolarz has taught Comparative Asia Gaming Law at the Boyd School of Law; he is a frequent presenter at gaming and gaming regulation conferences and symposia in the United States and abroad, most recently at the 2022 G2E Asia Conference in Singapore on The Future of Asia Gaming Regulation. Mr.Smolarz' prior legal and investment banking experience includes senior roles at PaineWebber/UBS and PriceWaterhouse Coopers and serving as of counsel in the Asia Practice Group at Wilson Elser LLP.

Professor Smolarz' transactional experience in Asia covers PRC, Macau, Vietnam, and The Philippines. In the US, he presently acts as Financial Advisor to two Las Vegas hotel casinos.

Professor Smolarz earned his JD from Seton Hall Law School and his BBA with high honors from Baruch College. He is a licensed CPA and FINRA Registered Investment Banker, is admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey, and serves as the managing member of the Smolarz Law Firm, as senior advisor to the Valtus Capital Group, and as managing director of  RS Global Gaming Finance LLC.
