Boyd Alum Dr. Stacey Hardy-Desmond Named Social Worker of the Year

Boyd alum Dr. Stacey Hardy-Desmond is the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Nevada Chapter 2008 Social Worker of the Year. Dr. Hardy-Desmond was recognized for her strong commitment and dedication to the social work profession, her students and NASW. "Dr. H.", as many affectionately call her, had a key role in developing and administering the Advanced Graduate Forensic Social Work Certificate Program at UNLV School of Social Work. This innovative program is designed to prepare skilled practitioners for expertise in forensic social work practice as social justice advocates for individuals, families, organizations, and communities.
