Boyd School of Law Alumni Win Several Local Races
A total of eight William S. Boyd School of Law alumni won local races in the general election on Nov. 8.
Elliot Anderson ‘15 earned 70 percent of the votes against Stan Vaughan in the State Assembly District 15 race.
Sam Bateman ‘02 defeated his opponents, earning 35 percent of the votes, in the Henderson Justice Court District 1 race.
Nicole Cannizzaro ‘10 won 51 percent of the votes against Victoria Seaman in the State Senate District 6 race.
Edgar Flores ’12 gained 78 percent of the votes against Wesley Cornwell in the State Assembly District 28 race.
Jason Frierson ’01 defeated his opponents Norm Ross and John Moore in the State Assembly District 8 race.
Rebecca Kern ’04 won 60 percent of the votes against Bita Yeager in the Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Dept. 6 race.
James Ohrenschall ’09 defeated his opponents Mark Riggins and Troy Warren in the State Assembly District 12 race.
Keith Pickard ‘11 brought in 59 percent of the votes against Luis Aguirre-Insua in the State Assembly District 22 race.
