Boyd Students, Alumni Recognized at LVNBA Scholarship Gala

The Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association (LVNBA) awarded scholarships to six William S. Boyd School of Law students at its 27th Annual Scholarship Gala on Nov. 4 at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino.

The scholarship recipients are Caleb Green, Seleste Hamilton, Marckia Hayes, Keith Hightower, Monique Jammer, and Jocelyn Murphy.

At the event, the LVNBA also recognized Boyd alumnus Jason Frierson ’01 as its Attorney of the Year. LVNBA’s 2016 Community Service Award was given to thinkLaw, founded by alumnus Colin Seale ‘12. 

Since the first Annual Scholarship Gala in 1987, the LVBNA has awarded tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to law students who are committed to serving minority, low-income, and other underserved communities in Clark County.
