Paola Armeni Androvandi (Class of 2003) is the Boyd School of Law 2008 Alumnus of the Year

A leader in service to the legal community and to the law school, Paola is dedicated to helping others.  From Christmas Toy Drives, to the Trial by Peers Program, to the Goldilocks mock criminal trial program, and Alumni Association activities, Paola is always finding ways to serve the community.  She is a remarkable role model for students and attorneys. 

In just five short years, Paola has been involved in more well-known state and federal cases than most attorneys face their entire career. Ms. Armeni Androvandi gained great insight in legal court proceedings while serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph T. Bonaventure of the 8th Judicial District Court. As an attorney, she has participated in the only impeachment hearing of a Nevada public official, assisted in several high profile criminal cases tried in both the United States District Court and Eighth Judicial District Court.

Ms. Armeni Androvandi served as president of the Student Bar Association while she was in law school and was elected the first President of the William S. Boyd School of Law Alumni Association.  She is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice, Clark County and American Bar Association, State Bar of Nevada and is the Southern Representative for Young Lawyers Section of Nevada State Bar. Ms. Armeni Androvandi is the secretary of the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
