How have you enjoyed your time at Boyd -- pandemic notwithstanding -- since transferring from the West Virginia University College of Law?
Absolutely. Notwithstanding the fact that bonds and friendships that develop in a law student's first year are irreplaceable, I can't begin to express my gratitude for the welcoming culture that Boyd extends to transfer students. The faculty, students, and staff all seem happy to be of assistance. It's a shame that the pandemic had to happen when it did. Many additional friendships and experiences that I could have shared were stolen from me. I hope those experiences will find their way into my future.
Please introduce us to your family.
Law school with a wife and four children has been an adventure to say the least. That adventure can be summed up in two words: time management. My wife's name is Sandy. That woman is Supermom incarnate. She is the reason for my success, she is the reason I work so hard, and she is the reason why I have a perpetual second wind in my work. If you read this, thank you Sandy for all that you do. Sandy and I have four wonderful children ages seven, six, three, and two. Their names are Samuel (boy), Adam (boy), Joseph (boy), and Adelaide (girl) respectively.
Is this the year your beloved Utah Jazz wins an NBA championship?
I'm going to give the typical law student response to this one; It depends. I believe that, lacking another freak series like last year between the Jazz and Nuggets, the only two teams that could take the Utah Jazz in a seven-game series are 1) a fully healthy Lakers and 2) a fully healthy Nets. Even then though, if the Jazz remain as hot from the three as they are, then both of those series are going to seven games.
What are you most excited to do when the pandemic subsides? Attend a Jazz game, perhaps?
This law student will always jump at the chance to attend a Jazz game. Other than that, I can't wait to go to the movies with the kids again.
