Please tell our readers about the cool award you just earned!
The short documentary I directed, entitled "Lights, Camera, Representation," won the Youth Visions Gold Award from the Seattle Social Justice Film Festival. My producer is my best friend Joceline Waite, my director of photography was a wonderful film student named Taylor Amble, Atanacio Rodriguez did camera work, and Deric Bucher did sound and anything else that was needed. It was an amazing crew full of talent, and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work with this film.
You were born in Las Vegas but left as a child. What drew you back?
I reconnected with my grandpa, Ron, while I was in undergrad and when I got accepted at Boyd, I knew I wanted to move here to spend time with him. I love him so much, and I'm so thankful that I get to live with him during law school. He's made Vegas more wonderful than I could ever imagine.
How goes your first year of law school?
Law school was a difficult adjustment at first but as I get to know my professors and classmates more, it has been easier and more enjoyable. Also, I just did the client counseling competition which was a blast (even though my team didn’t advance). I highly recommend anyone to take advantage of these kinds of activities!
Antique or brand new?
I try to buy/use antique as much as possible because reusing is one of the best, and easiest, ways to do your part to save the planet
