You were a collegiate heptathlete. How did you become a heptathlete, and which of the seven events was your favorite?

I actually did not begin competing in the heptathlon until my junior year at Purdue, when our amazing multis’ coach asked if I would be interested in giving the heptathlon a shot because he felt that I had a lot of potential for success in it. I primarily ran sprints and sprint relays prior to my foray into the heptathlon,so there was a bit of a learning curve to say the least. I would say my favorite events were the 200 meter sprint and long jump. The 800 meter run?? Not so much.

What are your reflections on four years of part-time evening law study as you approach the finish line in May?

I am just grateful to have the opportunity to be in a part-time evening law program. Without such a program, I do not think that I would have been able to even go to law school, and I happened to enter into the evening program with an amazing, albeit motley, crew. Anytime a classmate needed something, there was always someone from our evening program that wanted to help. Looking back, I attribute a great deal of my successful completion of law school to my evening program classmates, who provided monumental support at the times that I needed it the most.

And what are your plans following graduation?

Right now, all I want to do is go to Ohio, see my family, and take a trip up to Cedar Point and Put-in-Bay!

Soup or sandwich?

Soup please.
