What's the secret to balancing being a mom and a full-time law student?
Being a mom and a full-time law student is all about priorities and a good support system. I live by a "To-Do" list, but I’m also willing to go with the flow when something else pops up for my family. And, it's cliché to say, but I honestly couldn't do it without my husband's support. He is my biggest cheerleader and is always willing to help with the kids. Every law student has a full plate, and I believe we all need to be willing to ask for help from our family and friends sometimes in order to do well.
Go ahead and brag on your kids some!
I have two amazing kids. Landon is 9 and in third grade at Challenger School. Jillian is 5 and in kindergarten at Challenger as well. Landon recently was selected to represent his school at the upcoming UNLV Regional Science and Engineering Fair. He plans to become an engineer when he grows up. Jillian is an outgoing, free-spirited sweetheart. She loves to sing and dance and has a passion for animals. Last summer she won her class talent-show by singing karaoke. I have no doubt they will both do big things in the future!
Graduation and the bar exam are coming up quick. Where do you go from there?
During law school, I have been privileged to work part-time with the O'Reilly Law Group. After graduation and the bar exam, I will join the O'Reilly team as a full-time attorney and continue their tradition of serving the Las Vegas community.
Ice cream cone or snow cone?
Snow cone for sure! Fun fact: My first "job" when I was 15 was working at a snow cone stand.
