Boyd Law Offers First Course in Anti-Money Laundering in Gaming Law

This Spring, Boyd Law offered a new gaming course in Anti-Money Laundering in Gaming Law taught by Professor Becky Harris, former chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and former state senator.

The one-week AML course is offered as a 2 unit elective course for JD and LLM in Gaming Law and Regulation students. This class is designed to provide an overview of anti-money laundering, the international stakeholders that fight money laundering and terrorism finance and takes a comparative approach to understanding AML efforts across multiple jurisdictions.

This year’s course included gaming experts from Macau and Australia to highlight similarities and differences in AML efforts by several international jurisdictions. The course will be offered again in Spring 2025.
