Our Lawyering Process Program consistently ranks among the top in the country according to US News & World Report. Led by a fulltime faculty of renowned scholars, award-winning teachers, and innovative researchers, our students have access to leaders in the evolving discipline of legal writing and skills. Notably, our curriculum values legal writing as a discipline and places our program and our legal writing faculty equally among other subjects.

In addition, Boyd Law faculty members are national leaders who have served as Officers and Board members of the Legal Writing Institute, the Association of Legal Writing Directors, and the AALS Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research. Further, our faculty have served as editors of the Journal of Legal Writing Institute, Legal Communication and Rhetoric. Boyd Law at UNLV also serves as one of three founding schools of the Rocky Mountain Legal Writing Conference, and often hosts writing workshops and conferences.
