Whitney Jones

Whitney Jones is a third-year law student at William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a student attorney with the Investor Protection Clinic. She will graduate from Boyd in May 2020. 

Originally from Idaho, Whitney has lived in a variety of different places including Oregon, Arizona, California, and Nevada - but considers Northern Nevada her home. Whitney attended the University of Nevada, Reno as a first-generation college student and graduated with a dual degree in Philosophy and Political Science. Outside of the classroom, Whitney worked full-time throughout her undergraduate studies and spent most weekends hiking and skiing. Following her time at UNR, Whitney worked as a legal assistant at a law firm which sparked her interest to be an attorney. 

While at Boyd, Whitney has served on the boards of multiple student organizations and currently serves as one of two Notes Editors for the Nevada Law Journal.  

After taking the Nevada bar in July 2020, Whitney will be traveling to Canada for a hiking trip and plans to return to Reno to practice.
