Late fees are assessed when materials are renewed or returned after the due date. Patrons will incur replacement charges if overdue materials are not returned to the Library within a reasonable amount of time after the due date. Fees may also be assessed if items are damaged. Items which are recalled must be returned within two weeks after the notice of recall. Recalled items accrue fines at the rate of $2/day.

Popular Videos and DVDs.

Minimum replacement fee: $75

Special Collection Videos and DVDs.

Item is declared lost and replacement fees assessed 2 days after the due date
Minimum replacement fee: $250

Reserve and Other Limited Check-Out Items.
$1/hour or $5/day (depending on check-out period)
Item is declared lost and replacement fees assessed 7 days after the due date
Minimum replacement fee: $125

Interlibrary Loans.
$1/day
Item is declared lost and replacement fees assessed 28 days after the due date
Minimum replacement fee: Determined by the lending institution.


If an item that has been declared lost is subsequently returned, a portion of the replacement costs may be waived.

Payment of late fees will be accepted at the Library’s circulation desk and may be made by cash, check (payable to the Board of Regents), or RebelCard. Public patrons will be billed for overdue fines and replacement costs. If invoiced amounts are not promptly paid, the Library will charge the credit card provided to the Library at registration.
