CLE: Clearing Criminal Records for Survivors of Human Trafficking

What: The American Bar Association Survivor Reentry Project offers this free training to service providers, case managers, and advocates who provide direct services to survivors of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. This training will explore the impact of criminal records on trafficking survivors’ ability to move forward in their lives. Facilitators will take participants through Nevada’s law on vacating convictions for survivors, the legal steps required to vacate a conviction, and resources for obtaining criminal histories. The training will also familiarize participants with the Survivor Reentry Project’s resources for advocates and survivors and connect service providers to a national network of working on criminal history advocacy for survivors.
