CLE: Jurisdiction, Arbitration and the Gaming World

A panel of seasoned attorneys will discuss gaming issues involving multiple jurisdictions. The program will begin with a primer on “internet gaming” and the status of Nevada and federal regulations in this rapidly evolving area. Following the primer, panelists will explore issues that arise when gaming promotions are offered by casinos to patrons, conflict of laws issues that arise in the enforcement of gaming debts, and cross-border intellectual property issues. The discussion will conclude with a discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration and mediation/conciliation as mechanisms to resolve gaming disputes.
