Federalist Society Presents Prof. John Kunich on Intelligent Design and Creationism-Evening Students

Prof. John C. Kunich, a Senior Fulbright Specialist, will come and speak on the Intelligent Design vs. Evolution in the Public Schools. This presentation will be for the evening students.

Prof. Kunich's talk centers on the constitutional issues relevant to the teaching of Intelligent Design versus Darwinian evolution in the public schools, wherein the complex tension between the Establishment/Free Exercise clauses and the Free Speech clauses of the First Amendment is vividly highlighted. Is ID science or religion? Is Darwinian evolution science or religion? Does the teaching of ID as a possible alternative explanation for the origin of life on Earth violate the Establishment clause, and does the banning of it violate the right to freedom of speech?
