Nevada's new foreclosure mediation law (AB 149), which requires lenders to meet with homeowners in danger of foreclosure, is expected to create over 1,000 requests for mediation per month. The presentation will discuss the Supreme Court's new rules which provide for “orderly, timely, and cost-effective” mediations in foreclosures commenced on or after July 1, 2009, as a way to help home owners find alternatives to losing their houses.
