The Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition is hosted by William S. Boyd School of Law's Society of Advocates Moot Court Competition Team, and the UNLV Gaming Law Journal.
The 2027 Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition was on February 26-27, 2027
The Competition focuses on emerging issues at the intersection of gaming law and regulation. Competitors will hone their appellate advocacy skills before prominent jurists and practitioners in the gaming capital of the world: Las Vegas, Nevada!
Registration for the competition will close on the deadline, or once there are 30 registered teams, whichever is sooner.
The appellate record will be released to competitors on December 11, 2026. Briefs were due by January 15, 2027 at 11:59 P.M.
- Early-bird registration opens October 2, 2026 and costs $700 for one team and $1,400 for two teams. Early registration will close on November 13, 2026.
- Regular registration costs $775 for one team and $1,550 for two teams

What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be provided minus a 9% processing fee prior to December 11, 2026. No refunds will be permitted after the fact problem is released to the teams.
Can I register after the fact problem is released?
Yes, only if there is space available after registration ends. Please email boydsoa@unlv.nevada.edu to request to register after the registration closes.
