Program Description
During this session we will be talking about culture, cultural competency, bias, discrimination, and how our methods of communication may impact individuals from cultures other than our own. We will review assumptions and myths about bias and discrimination. We will also identify language and behaviors that may imply discrimination even if not the intention, as well as best practices to provide culturally competent communication both inside and outside our practices.
