Legislating public health initiatives have been at the forefront of initiatives in the last couple years. The 2021 Nevada legislative session enacted legislation promoting HIV biomedical prevention measures, communicable disease modernization, increased access to HIV/STI testing and treatment to patients, measures to combat the transmission of sexually transmitted infections through pregnancy and collecting health data about sexual orientation and gender identity. Our panelists will address the changes, challenges, and opportunities these laws created for legal and medical professionals in Nevada.
