Legalizing Medical Aid in Dying in Nevada Panel

The panel discussion will kick off the 2024 Health Law Conference sponsored by UNLV Health Law Program, a partnership between the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV and the UNLV School of Public Health. 

The panel on legalizing aid in dying in Nevada will feature State Sen. Edgar Torres, primary sponsor of SB 239; Barry Cole, MD, Reno psychiatrist, testified in opposition to SB 239; Ihsan Azzam, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical Officer for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services; and Hanna Olivas, CEO & Co-Founder of She Rises Studio and Founder of the Brave & beautiful Blood Cancer Foundation. William S. Boyd Professor of Law Leslie Griffin will moderate the panel.
