2020 was a year that brought mediation to the virtual world in an unprecedented fashion and at an accelerated pace. Virtual mediation, as a form of online dispute resolution (ODR), offers tremendous opportunity and also introduces a host of novel ethical challenges. It is time for mediators and attorneys to pause and take stock of our new virtual landscape.
This lively CLE brings together experienced mediators who practice in a variety of different contexts and who work with a wide range of mediation participants. The panelists will explore ethical considerations they have encountered in their virtual mediations and will also share their tips for best practices for mediators and parties alike.
