State Bar of Nevada Intellectual Property Law Section Conference
State Bar of Nevada Intellectual Property Law Section Conference
The William S. Boyd School of Law welcomes members of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Nevada and other attorneys and community members to the Section’s annual Intellectual Property Law Conference.
This year’s Conference features Patrick Huston, author of "The Law of Trade Secret Litigation Under the Uniform Trade Secrets Act." Mr. Huston will address trade secret litigation under the new federal law, the Defend Trade Secrets Act, and how the application of 35 years of state trade secret cases decided under the Uniform Trade Secrets Act can give predictability to cases under the new Act.
Professor Mary LaFrance from the Boyd School of Law will provide the annual trademark law update and Detective Grace from Metro’s Cybercrimes unit will discuss innovations in cybercrime and prevention.
The conference will conclude with an ethics presentation. A display of new books focusing on intellectual property law will also be featured at the Conference.
The Conference takes place from 8:30am to 5:00pm in the Thomas & Mack Moot Courtroom at the Boyd School of Law.
