Description

In light of the disturbing scenes from last week's election in Wisconsin, there should be no illusions about the difficulties ahead and the need to take proactive steps to prepare for a safe and fair election everywhere in the country. Now is the time to advocate and ensure that all American's voices are heard in future elections, especially in November 2020.
The Raben Group and the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law have partnered to put on "Voting and COVID-19: Existential Threats to a Safe And Fair Election in 2020," a virtual panel that will examine these concerns and look at strategies for moving forward. The expert panel includes Kristen Clarke, president & executive director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law; Senator Russ Feingold, president of the American Constitution Society; Dahlia Lithwick, senior editor at Slate & host of Amicus, Slate's biweekly podcast about the law and the Supreme Court; and Myrna Pérez, director of the Brennan Center's Voting Rights and Elections Program. The Raben Group's Elliot Williams will moderate.
