This free webinar will examine the current state of federal law governing affirmative action/diversity admission programs at institutions of higher learning across this country with particular emphasis placed on the recent federal court challenge to Harvard University’s use of race in its admissions program.

Discussion Topics:
•    Efforts to eliminate affirmative action programs
•    California’s current effort to repeal a 1996 state ballot initiative that amended the state constitution to ban the consideration of race and sex in higher education
•    The role and commitment that Hispanic Serving Institutions have to advance the principles and objectives of affirmative action/diversity programs
