Professor Rebecca Nathanson is part of a six-member expert team that helped establish the country’s first juvenile competency Hub Court in Los Angeles County. With its own judge, attorneys, evaluators, and social workers, the Hub Court is designed to better support young people navigating competency cases. Professor Nathanson’s expertise in juvenile competency and her Kids’ Court School program played a key role in shaping this new model.
