Professor Banks is a criminal defense attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada. He earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law.

Professor Banks spent 30 years with the Clark County Public Defender’s Office, where he served as Team Chief of the Sexual Assault Defense Team and as a member of the Homicide Defense Team handling capital cases. He is Rule 250 qualified in capital litigation and has extensive experience defending homicide and other complex criminal matters. He has also handled juvenile defense cases involving Adult Certification and serious felony and sexual assault allegations.

Professor Banks serves as a Pro Tem Judge in the Las Vegas Justice and Municipal Courts. Outside of law, he is an avid mountain biker and runner, and performs as a touring musician.
