Bio:

Rene L. Valladares is the Federal Public Defender for the District of Nevada. He is an adjunct instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Boyd School of Law, and the UNLV Criminal Justice Department. He lectures nationally on various criminal law and procedure topics including the defense of conspiracy cases, the impact of culture in criminal cases, and search and seizure developments in the Roberts' Court. Mr. Valladares serves on the Federal Defenders' Performance Measurement Working Group and the Federal Defenders' Death Penalty Working Group. He is co‐editor of the first edition of the practice manual, Cultural Factors in Criminal Defense, now in its fourth edition.
