UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law alumnus and thinkLaw CEO Colin Seale ’12 was honored this past weekend with the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada’s (ACLUNV) Community Juvenile Justice Award.

The award, which recognizes Seale for his advocacy and commitment to teaching young people about justice and fairness, and developing their critical thinking skills, was presented at the ACLUNV’s 50th Anniversary Gala held at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Seale was one of five individuals selected by the organization for their efforts to protect civil liberties and civil rights.

“Winning this award inspires me because the ACLU of Nevada has a long legacy of using the law to fighting the tough fights and seeking justice for the most noble causes,” said Seale. “The Community Juvenile Justice Award further validates the work I'm doing with thinkLaw, where we are passionately working to create a world where all students can walk to their neighborhood schools and get the same type of critical thinking skills they would get in law school.”

Seale founded the innovative thinkLaw to help educators teach critical thinking to all students through real-life legal cases.

Since its beginning in 1966, the ACLU of Nevada is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to the defense and advancement of civil liberties and civil rights for all Nevadans.
