Boyd Alumnus Seaton Curran to Speak at Boyd on Patent Prosecution Oct. 17

Boyd alumnus Seaton Curran ’08, a patent attorney working in the Intellectual Property practice group at Armstrong Teasdale, will give a talk on patent prosecution in Professor Marketa Trimble’s International Intellectual Property class at the Boyd School of Law on Monday, Oct. 17.

Curran will focus on his patent prosecution experience in the U.S. and in other jurisdictions. He also will discuss other topics including his professional path to patent practice, his law firm and its patent-related business, and his experiences dealing with foreign clients and foreign patent attorneys or agents.

Seaton Curran is a registered U.S. patent attorney in the Armstrong Teasdale Intellectual Property Group, where his practice includes preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, patent infringement analysis, patentability opinions, and patent enforcement strategies. He received his J.D. in 2008 from the William S. Boyd School of Law, his M.B.A. in 2000 from the University of Southern California, and his B.S. in civil engineering in 1996 from Loyola Marymount University.
