H&P Law donates to support law student success

Preparing for the bar exam requires significant study time and dedication. The Bar Success Initiative, led by Professor Nachman Gutowski—Director of the Academic Success Program and Assistant Professor-in-Residence at the William S. Boyd School of Law—focuses on equipping students with the necessary skills to pass the bar exam, which is a requirement to become a practicing attorney. Professor Gutowski, a nationally recognized expert in student success and bar exam preparation, employs a data-driven and student-centered approach to enhance student success.

Private donations play a crucial role in supporting recent graduates during the intense study period for the bar exam by providing essential funds for bar preparation courses and living expenses. This financial support is vital for helping students pass the bar on their first attempt, significantly impacting their future legal careers. Donors' contributions promote student success and open doors to numerous professional opportunities.

Marjorie Hauf, a partner at H&P Accident and Injury Lawyers, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We want to help students prepare for professional success in the legal field.” Recently, her firm donated $5,000 to the Bar Success Initiative. H&P Law is an award-winning personal injury law firm in Las Vegas, co-led by Marjorie Hauf and Matthew Pfau. Marjorie, a member of the Boyd School of Law's charter class, passed the bar exam on her first attempt and has strongly advocated for her clients since beginning her legal career.
