Law Firm of Two Boyd Alums Breaks Ground on New Four-Story Law Office

Boyd School of Law alums Leon Symanski and Billie-Marie Morrison are two of six attorneys who practice at Craig P. Kenny & Associates. The law firm celebrated the groundbreaking of a new four-story law office on Thursday in downtown Las Vegas. Symanski and Morrison are both graduates of the Boyd School of Law charter class of 2001.

WHY: Craig P. Kenny & Associates is experiencing a demand for their services – so much so they are building a new four-story, class A office building in one of the worst economic times.

“We share Mayor Goodman’s vision for revitalizing downtown and are excited to be the first four-story office building in this area just east of Las Vegas Blvd.,” Craig P. Kenny, CEO and Founder of Craig P. Kenny & Associates said. “We look forward to being in one building as opposed to the two we operate from now. The new building will improve productivity and provide a more fun, enjoyable work place for our employees with a gym, theater and half-court basketball court.”

“This building will have a metal composite panel system incorporating a lot of glass. We worked with the owner to incorporate many sustainable concepts including the heating and air conditioning system, fixtures that are energy efficient, glazing on the windows that help to reduce heat and low emitting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which studies have shown contribute to a healthier work environment,” Bob Palochik, ACI Project Manager said.

GENERAL: This four-story, 25,000 s.f. class A office building was designed by Jawa Studios. The project sits on .5 acres and is scheduled to be completed by February 2010. The facility will include a 12-stall employee parking lot on the first floor, and a half-court basketball court on the fourth floor.
