March 2008-ACLU of Nevada announced BSL 3L Judy Cox Inaugural Recipient of Beverly Rogers Fellowship

the Inaugural Recipient of the Beverly Rogers Fellowship.

Judy Cox, a third-year law student at the William S. Boyd School of Law, was selected for this highly competitive, post-graduate fellowship based on her demonstrated commitment to public interest, civil rights, and civil liberties issues. As the inaugural fellow, Ms. Cox will work with a team of lawyers in the ACLU of Nevada’s Las Vegas office beginning in September 2008.

The ACLU of Nevada is a statewide non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the principles of liberty and equality embodied in the U.S. and Nevada Constitutions. The ACLU works on a broad range of civil rights and civil liberties issues, including but not limited to racial justice, free speech, national security, reproductive freedom, privacy, election protection, drug law reform, prisoners’ rights, women’s rights, immigrants’ rights, the rights of the homeless, police accountability, criminal justice reform, children’s rights, and GLBT rights.
