President Obama Nominates UNLV Boyd School of Law Professor Anne Traum for Nevada Federal Judgeship

In an Anne Traum to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. 

Professor Traum is one of eight nominations announced by the President. Upon Senate confirmation, she will fill a judicial vacancy created when District Judge Robert C. Jones took senior status February 1. 

“Throughout their careers, these nominees have displayed unwavering commitment to justice and integrity,” said President Obama in the release. “Their records are distinguished and impressive, and I am confident that they will serve the American people well from the United States District Court bench. I am honored to nominate them today.” 

U.S. Senator Harry Reid recommended Professor Traum for the judgeship. 

“Anne Traum is a superb lawyer and educator, and she will be an excellent addition to the U.S. District Court of Nevada,” said Senator Reid in a
